It's a game, the kind that little kids play Breathless and happy again Back in time, in stadiums of new lime Fighting for what's left of men A cavalcade, i should have stayed My forces falter, and I kiss the blade These feelings we cannot control will lead us faithfully Fae failures fumble up a play that we will never see It's not just me, there is no mystery Reflected back upon the page It's not just me, there is no mystery We're making good on how we age It's not just me, there is no mystery No over-arcing sense of worth It's not just me, there is no mystery No use in putting others first

you hunger for truth but, the scent decieves you your senses errupt and the world believes you when you say you've never felt like this before take your clothes off, shut the door and open up wide, let me take a bite consuming and consuming and consuming and consuming till I'm raw you'll find the real me, your back against the wall you'll find no pride in the fall I'll soak in all your pain and radiate the sun you'll never see the chance to know I've won so open up wide, unhinge my jaw in the night just waiting for the right time yes just waiting for our chance to take a bite

It floods my mind to brim, straight from the bottom, fills the pool again Block up the cavern to keep the overflow at bay Your withdrawn shoulders freeze my intentions, lack kind discretion Your unwavering smile, smolders blockages at play I hope you know it's all your fault It's in my skin again i lost it all i found a friend I try to hold on drifting farther from the wreck The cold water stings my ears I've given in to all my fears The warm blood inside my hide is pooling 'round my neck I hope you know it's all your fault I found my body in the woods last night I guess i couldn't escape that terrible lie This vessel is frozen and i am condemned To feel my warm blood drip out over and over and over again I hope you know it's all your fault

Sieve 04:49
Willow: down the wooden steps that creak beneath the weight we drag our leadened feelings back to the empty settlement chop them up in meters, tie them up in bushels set the tower ablaze see the colony razed and you hear it ... a growing roar of whispers and you hear it, the deafening abyss and you ask it what it wants to hear and he takes it he takes his time filling the pages burying the bones in an unmarked grave he is at home stuffing in my brain filling the holes hiding in your secret cave while he is at home i'm separating the coffee brews grounds of dreams you move through hands unseen and he's filling his cup with nothing but apathy for the souls we lost worshipping the death of me while he's filling his cup well i'm separated Wes: separated from the things that we love in spite of everything we've done i guess it isn't enough take a step out under the shade i'm separated off from the decisions we've made

Flowers 07:39
You always asked for the things that couldn't be seen So you became the invisible source pushing at our seams Flowers sprout upward from the fissures below He stands in the corner waiting, we already know We're crying out for you the feeling burns us alive He stands in the corner, his eyes on the paper He stands in the corner waiting, and you just lie there A body without movement

about

Time apart changes people. In the last three years, The You Suck Flying Circus has seen a lot of change, and it's reflected in the tone and in the work ethic of this notoriously messy band's fifth album. Far from their normal way of writing and recording, The You Suck Flying Circus spent the better part of the last few years writing and refining a set of new songs. Out of close to 30 demos, 15 songs were selected to finalize, and the first 10 of these comprise this album. Ranging from their classic blend of post-rocky shoegaze to mathy freakouts and slamming drones, it's possibly their most eclectic album, while simultaneously being the easiest to digest and enjoy.
