Look Here 04:09
These people, these people tend to need Assurances, oh, from me But we'll make it, we’ll make it, I know I loved you, I loved you whole So, look here My dear Oh, for me I’ve failed, I’ve failed so many times That I don't know, I don’t know what's mine Together, together we will last Forgive me, forgive me for my past So, look here My dear Oh, for me
2.
Searching every dresser drawer Lookin’ for my bag Coulda sworn it was right here That’s why I called you Mags Come on over Come on over Come on over I can bring you home I just wanna feel all right Like we did before Maybe watch a little “Dig!” And get high some more Come on over Come on over Come on over I can bring you home We can pretend to be Anything we want But let's remember when it's over It doesn't make us glad In fact, a little sad But let's try when it's over
3.
Why 02:19
Oh, you’re walking two steps ahead You don't wait for me like I do And all my messages go unread Don’t know why I hang with you Why do I even hang with you? Sometimes I think that I'm your lemming An animal in your zoo You didn't invite me to your wedding Don’t know why I hang with you Why do I even hang with you? Why do I bother? Why do I even try? It’s a lesson learned In even knowing why
4.
People saying She ain't right To criticize them Put up a fight There's a difference Between people and state Don’t make them have to retaliate What can I do? To get through to you What can I do? Yeah, she's talkin’ Truth all around Think they'll find some Common ground It ain't right No, it ain't right They're not changin’ They just wanna fight If they could only See the other side Maybe they'll listen Stop these lies Lord, I know Oh, Lord, I know The nights are longer When you reap what you sow
5.
She looks out the window And points out the snow Don’t scream so loud now I already know I don't deserve this Say it again I wonder how we got here Afraid of when She's runnin' to her mother's She always does Our help needs wanted It's not like it was You think I can change it From those books you've read There's no goin’ back now Cause we said what we said Cause we said what we said Oh, we said what we said Cause we said what we said Oh, we said what we said We're taking our time Oh, we're spreading our lies We're taking our time Oh, so we can be So we can be right We're taking our time Oh, we're spreading our lies We're taking our time Oh, so we can be So we can be right
6.
I was walking around this town Walkin’ around to find my baby I found her at The Hawk Chatting it up with some lady And I never, I never, I never thought that she'd Wind up in this place I guess we eventually solve our maybes And she said… I'm doin' OK now She's doin' OK I'm just happy to know Happy to know she's fine without me It's not about the terms Or a certain way we're supposed to be I just always, I always, I always thought that we'd End up together But how can I be mad now that she’s free? And she said… I'm doin' OK now She's doin' OK And she said… I'm doin' OK now She's doin' OK She's doin' OK now She's doin' OK
7.
I know what you want But it's not what you need Tell me it again They're coming for me I think I'm losing my mind Worrying about you You gotta help me out They'll be here soon Now I'm singing this song But you knew it all along
8.
Over It 03:33
And I wake up I’m lying next to you And you make me happy Don’t know if it’s true Is this all a dream? I’d rather not find out You make it seem There’s never any… I know you will get over it And I know you will get over it It’s all been done before This isn’t about me Stop asking for more I’m not getting colder You really won’t find out We’ll just get older Oh, without a… I know you will get over it And I know you will get over it I know you will get over it Please, God, just get over it It’s past your bedtime I’ll see you in a few I’m playing it again All in my head If you think I’m lying It’s nothing I said Oh, I said I want it over Just like this song If you can’t be happy Then you’re just gone Oh, you’re gone You’re just gone Oh, you’re gone You’re just gone You’re just gone You’re just gone You’re just gone Oh, you’re gone
9.
Already Gone 03:16
There comes a time in Everyone's life Have to decide What’s wrong or right Nobody's Gonna tell me Who I can or Cannot be Are you gone? You're already gone You're already gone And are you gone? You're already gone You're already gone I know you're gone You're already gone You're already You’re gone If you are Gonna lie Have the strength to Look me in the eye I see you are Out for yourself Kids like you are Gonna need help And are you gone? You're already gone You're already gone And are you gone? You're already gone You're already gone I know you're gone You're already gone You're already You’re gone
10.
I was wasting my time Goin’ out every night If I knew you were around It just might feel right I know you’re gone And you’re never comin’ back It’ll always hurt Just gotta face that fact Time was right Time was right Oh, the time was right for me I can still hear your laugh I hope again one day But for now, I’ll remember How you just had a way To make everyone smile With your impressions absurd If we make it, we’ll make it But I’ll never go to Pittsburgh Time was right Time was right Oh, the time was right for me Time was right Time was right Oh, the time was right for me
11.
Sometimes I think it’ll be all right If you still lie And we don’t fight Why are you so adverse To the truth Oh, is it youth? You’re not around And I don’t expect you to be I don’t expect you to be Really want to shut that door Put it behind And get off the floor I can tell if it’s just me Shattered dreams And empty screams You’re not around And I don’t expect you to be I don’t expect you to be You’re not around And I don’t expect you to be Just go away Just go away Just go away Ah, just go away

about

After years of having nothing but a few live demos, The Style Section come roaring out the gate with a big chunk of fuzzy indie rock. Channeling the greats from the 90s to today and decked out with some slick pedalboards, they ping-ponged between studios and basements for a year and a half, writing and recording upwards of 20 songs, which means this collection of tunes is just the beginning.
