Other People 04:23
There was a time I was alone when you left me out in the street oh You wouldn’t let me back into your house with all of your people And I begged and I howled and I scratched and I screamed, oh me oh I walked away from your place with my tail tucked between my knees oh And you know that I always come back to your arms And I run round in circles for your warmth and your charm But this time I must be going, this one’s no false alarm I’m gonna go find some other people When I came in late last night and you caught me there in the doorway And from the look on my face, you could tell I’d been up to no good And I promise I swear I was only out in the yard You wouldn’t let me back into your bed with my muddy paws And you know that I always come back to your arms And I run round in circles for your warmth and your charm But this time I must be goin’, this one’s no false alarm I’m gonna go find some other people I don’t know why I’m always wrong dear Can’t figure out why you don’t answer when I call I don’t know why I always find myself here Can’t figure out why you’ve been treating me wrong And you know that I always come back to your arms And I run round in circles for your warmth and your charm But this time I must be goin’, this one’s no false alarm I’m gonna go find some other people

Waiting 03:30
Lost little girls with that look in their eyes, they’re goin’ down Scared little boys with that fear in their eyes, they’re gonna drown And the waters getting’ higher, and the waves gonna come up and swallow you whole I know that you’d been waitin’ I know that you’d been waitin’ I know that you’d been waitin’ Through this all before We’d been dancin’ round each other And I never thought I’d ever let you go Sneaking around one another Dig your grave, dig your own fucking hold You told me you had seen nothing, you told me it was hardly anything at all I know that you’d been waitin’ I know that you’d been waitin’ I know that you’d been waitin’ Through this all before You told me you had seen nothing, you told me it was hardly anything at all

I don’t get high anymore Lately dear I have felt so low Hidden away, stuck behind this barroom wall I can’t escape and I can’t be saved But my lungs are filling up with this smoke and fear And I don’t wanna lay here any longer Trouble found its way, and I met her at the backdoor And I can’t take the weight that you’re under And I can’t hold on anymore This love has come and gone, now you treat me like a child The rain pitter patters on the awning Soon it’ll be another year But my lungs are filling up with this smoke and fear And I don’t wanna lay here any longer Trouble found its way, and I met him at the backdoor And I can’t take the weight that you’re under And my brother, showed me that the devil Works in so many mysterious ways And lately, I can’t fight off my demons So I join em’ for the good old days But my lungs are filling up with this smoke and fear And I don’t wanna lay here any longer Trouble found its way, and I let her in the backdoor And I can’t take the weight that you’re under I don’t get high anymore Lately dear, I have felt so low Swallowed up, spread thin between these other calls Hoping one day, we’ll get old And I don’t get high anymore

Heartache 04:45
Livin’ with your heartache - Talkin’ to the broken Waiting for the mornin’ - Then you’ll run And you’re holdin’ onto nothing – and you’re letting go the old fight And you never found no new fight – to ease your troubled mind On your own, you’ll be found Drunk and stoned, and you can’t turn around You're almost home, and your friends not around On your own, on your own And you swear you’ll catch the next one – leaving here at 9 o clock You’d promise that you’d never stop – but you’re home the next damn day And you’re hangin’ in the basement – and you’re hangin’ with your old friends And you never found no new friends – to spend your days away On your own, you’ll be found Drunk and stoned, and you can’t turn around You're almost home, and your friend's not around On your own, on your own And you’re lettin’ my lips quiver – they’re hangin’ in gallows Oh the death that your love put me in – things’ll never be the same On your own, you’ll be found Drunk and stoned, and you can’t turn around You're almost home, and your friend's not around On your own, on your own

Pockets 03:46
And I can’t stand it, these numbers and figures Tryin’ to find some new phrases, to figure it all out No expectations, about the future Become a predictor, just to be let down And I just can’t seem to stand straight in line Hands in my pockets on quarters and dimes It’s time to grow up now, come rain or come shine I don’t wanna make up my mind Drivin’ in circles, for no fuckin reason Tired of believing, it’ll all work out Spendin’ like crazy, blame it on money Fragile and hasty, it’s been holdin’ me down And I just can’t seem to stand straight in line Hands in my pockets on quarters and dimes It’s time to grow up now, come rain or come shine I don’t wanna make up my mind

Snowfall 04:09
Somewhere, you'll find the pine shed ground beneath the snow Somewhere, are the ashes of the last branch where we used to Swing low, from the high limb of the tree to the forest floor that's Below, the darkened sky where we would count the bright bright star light While we laid on the ground through the cold of the night. So run away, and run away And we'll meet on the other side of the wall Where the doorways are very narrow and small. And i'll be sure you're not the first one to fall...fall into my arms Chuckin rocks at the street lights While we subdued to the earth but not to the health of the Car tires, and the sound of the spinning while our hearts were on fire, and the Tip toes, because three in the morning well it never goes It never goes So run away, and run away.. And we'll meet on the other side of the wall Where the doorways are very narrow and small And i'll be sure you're not the first one to fall...fall into my arms Don't you know when the Wind blows, on your pretty face in the morning right after the snow falls down Right after the snow falls down Right after the snow falls

Come home, come home now Your mother’s been crying for days and days Your brothers and sisters are runnin wild Runnin wild in the world’s wild race Oh and pack your bags and go Don’t wanna be here anymore When the sun rise And it streams upon your face And lets you go And you were runnin’ through my day dreams But also in my nightmares, late in bed And do you remember the places where we grew up In that shitty little house your parents had way back when Don’t wanna sleep here anymore Not gonna wake up in the middle of the nighttime Driven wild by your face For the last time And it’s a miserable escape When you’ve gotta run but you don’t know, where to run to And it’s a miserable escape After being locked up for all these years

about

Dan Socha is back with his first CD in 7 years, featuring a full sound with a revolving cast of players that more accurately depicts his energetic live show than any recording so far.
A message from Dan:
"A long long time ago, I wrote a bunch of songs and recorded them in Wes’s garage. Since then, new songs have been born and old songs have been born again. With the help of some very talented friends, we’ve recorded this hodgepodge of tunes to share with anyone and everyone. Thanks to everyone who helped create and inspire this CD, especially to my dog Riley, who helped write the song Other People."
